Norton Wisdom

Chouinard Gallery, South Pasadena

The artist paints liquid interpretations of the music, creating archetypal images culled from world mythology or the murky corners of his own outrageous psyche. The images are scraped, sprayed, rubbed and brushed onto a semi-transparent light box, constantly moving with the music, one feeding the next until the artist decides to capture any given moment with his camera. These works are live, topical, of the moment and wholly impermanent.
