ShanghART Gallery is running a joint exhibition featuring works by Li Shan, Pu Jie
and Yu Youhan. During this scorching summer, the show might soothe the visitors with
a breeze of art. Perhaps that lies the value of art to attract us into
another world.

Born in 1959, Pu Jie is a graduate from Shanghai University. His latest artworks
apply the mode of juxtaposition. The smoothly spread hues emerged some images behind
give a dynamic visual effect, the expression of Pop. What Pu's paintings reveal try
to express is the desire under the bottom of the heart from the man and woman in the
urban city. Those blurred scenes hidden behind arouse the curiosity from the
viewers. While at the same time it is also a perfect way to reflect his theme. When
