31GRAND invites you to view Barnaby Whitfield's second solo show "Putto
Rising." In his latest work, Barnaby Whitfield celebrates his mother's well
earned, well paid for newly relaxed face and life, the artist's own self
granted graduation from tv's therapeutic reality program "Starting Over" and
the beginning of his quest to paint Norman Rockwell's 'big' pictures at
last.
As in Barnaby's last solo exhibition The Whore with Red Cheeks, he is ever
still the unabashed and unapologetic pastel artist with an obsessive nature
toned in kitsch and pith. His new series Putto Rising truly shows his
continual growth in style and the mastery of his medium.
