Young photographers and artists present their portfolios
Fotomuseum Winterthur is launching a new series of events entitled PLAT(T)FORM.
Starting this January, one weekend annually will be dedicated to introduce the work
of young photographers from Switzerland and beyond to an interested audience as well
as to a small panel of experts who will hold in-depth discussions with the
photographers about their work. It is intended that this event will give
photographers an opportunity of introducing themselves as well as allowing experts
and interested visitors alike to discover high-quality work by emerging artists. The
selection of the photographers is made in a two steps procedure: first, national and
international curators, lectures and journalists nominate potential candidates from
Europe and second the Fotomuseum Winterthur himself concentrates on a further
selection of 42 photographers out of them.
Saturday evening from 7 pm to midnight: food, drinks, music and pictures -
with new photography from Japan and new videos from Switzerland
Financially supported by MIGROS-KULTURPROZENT
