Under the title Poste mon Amour, the photographer depicts the familiar world of Swiss postal offices. Drawn from documentary tradition and conceptual inspiration, his images compile an affectionate and ironic list of these locations voluntarily vacated of all human presence.
Under the title "Poste mon Amour", the photographer Jean-Luc Cramatte depicts the
familiar world of Swiss postal offices. Drawn from documentary tradition and
conceptual inspiration, his images compile an affectionate and ironic list of these
locations voluntarily vacated of all human presence. This first-class artistic
witness to the state of a world in full upheaval shows over 150 offices representing
equally as many variations of the same space with their particular characteristics.
Given its value in terms of cultural heritage, this work received the support of the
Swiss Institute for the Conservation of Photography (ISCP).
