Large format presents a grouping of new large-scale works on paper. Nina Chanel Abney strings together four pieces of paper in a seamless narrative about the identity crises of a close friend. Sydney Chastain-Chapman sets an expansive horizon of prefab Victorian houses with lawns teeming in suburbanite paraphernalia.
Manuel Esnoz has woven together dozens of strips of paper to create a textured working surface that fractures a group of figures. Aaron Romine exhibits breath-taking detail and strange angles in a larger-than-life work on paper. Aya Uekawa creates densely rendered charcoal drawings with heightened contrast and illusion in space.
