ART MOSCOW is the first Russian art fair featuring high quality contemporary art and fully in accordance with international standards. The primary goal is to create an ideal environment for the exhibition of art works in Moscow. ART MOSCOW focuses on new international tendencies since 1990, but welcomes classical Modernism, which greatly influenced the development of 20th-century art. All exhibitors at ART MOSCOW are chosen and invited to attend by a high profile jury of Russian and international experts. ART MOSCOW 2007 is comprised of approximately 70 galleries. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Moscow City Hall Cultural Committee have offered their support to ART MOSCOW 2007 in a bid to develop the art market. One of the goals of ART MOSCOW is to promote contemporary art among the wider public. The organisers aim to involve state museums, exhibition halls and mass media in the fair.
