Exonemo shows a new spacial installation at [plug.in]. The installations focusses on questions of digitized and symbolized death between the physical and virtual world. The audience can see, feel and hear the effects of a symbolic death in a computer game in the physical exhibition space.
Since 1996 exonemo have made a considerable impact in the media art world with daring, humerous and profound works. Sembo Kensuke and Yae Akaiwa reflect the growing influence of electronic media in our society and have shown, among other places, in Istanbul Biennale, The ICC and the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, the Tamayo Museum in Mexico. Their work received the prestigious golden nica award at the ars electronica Linz in 2006. exonemo resides in Tokyo and in www.exonemo.com.
