Laura Cristin sarà di nuovo in Irlanda nel prossimo luglio come ‘visiting artist’ al Cill Rialaig project, fondato nel 1990 nel Kerry dalla gallerista Noelle Campbell Sharp che ha riconvertito un villaggio abbandonato in residenza internazionale per artisti. E’ il secondo ‘regalo di Tempo’ concesso alla Cristin dopo il primo soggiorno del 2003, che la ha avuto una profonda influenza sul suo percorso artistico e l’ha portata a sviluppare in azioni performative e in un itinerario più concettuale la precedente tematica pittorica incentrata sull’alter ego di ‘Sheren’ e ‘dolphen’ (ispirata dal delfino Fungi, adottato dalla vicina baia di Dingle).

A cinque anni da quella esperienza, il suo soggiorno al Cill Rialaig (situato all’estremo sud ovest dell’Irlanda, in una zona ricca di storia e cultura) sarà di sicuro un’ulteriore occasione per sviluppare la sua ricerca artistica a un livello più spirituale. Mettendo nello stesso tempo a fuoco i punti di maggior interesse della sua attività, quali il rapporto con la Musica o lo studio del simbolismo relativo ai Tarocchi. Tematiche da praticare meditando nel suono dell’Oceano, nei richiami del Mito e nelle suggestioni del paesaggio. Senza dimenticare il contesto umano.

-Senza molti obblighi (secondo la filosofia del Cill Rialaig) a parte un cuore da suonare come strumento musicale in Private/Public Performance quotidiane, insieme a un ‘palo-de-lluvia’ che viene dall’America Latina.

Dipingendo e riflettendo con il cuore, quasi per ripercorrere e imparare a memoria le precedenti esperienze legate all’Irlanda e all’altrove conosciuto negli ultimi anni in giro per il mondo. Riportando il vissuto individuale nell’unicità del Tempo che appartiene a tutti.

In modo da raggiungere nuove visioni, azioni e suoni che vengono dal centro in cui ognuno di noi è in armonia con i Ritmi della Natura e si scopre Regina o Re, nella dimensione così intima e così universale dell’Amore-

Laura Cristin is back to Ireland in July 2008 for another residency at Cill Rialaig project, that was founded in 1990 along Kerry coast by gallerist-owner Noelle Campbell Sharp, with the aim of rebuilding a once abandoned pre-famine village, reconverting it in an international retreat for artists.

It is the second ‘gift of Time’ awarded to Cristin, after her stay in 2003, that led her to develop in performing arts and in a more conceptual itinerary, the previous painting and graphic work experience that was based on her art-identity of ‘Sheren’ meeting ‘dolphen’ (inspired by Fungi, the dolphin of the nearby Dingle bay).
At this stage, her visit in Ballinskelligs retreat, a Gaelic area with a unique history and culture, will offer the occasion for making a point about a more spiritual level of her art research. Including Music and the latest studies/interests about the symbolisms related to Tarots’ path, fully immersed in the sound of the Ocean, in the Myths’ callings and in the landscape suggestions. Not to forget the actual human context.

-Having few obligations (as in the philosophy of Cill Rialaig) apart from my heart to play as musical instrument in daily Private/Public Performances, along with the ‘palo-de-lluvia’ coming from Latin America.
Doing some paintings perhaps, and reflections, just to learn by heART my previous Ireland Memories (and from around the word), that just because belong to a unique Time, are not only mine.

So as to reach new visions, actions and sounds coming from the intimate/universal dimension of Love, where anyone can discover his own Queen or King core, fully connected with the Rhythms of Nature..-
