Recent Sculpture
In recent years, Edelstein has worked primarily in beeswax. With his chosen
medium, he has developed a technique which allows him to create forms
directly, without interior molds or armatures.
Bruce Edelstein continues to
explore the language of the human body. The figures are on ve very human
scale, always in motion, and by mixing pigment within the translucent medium,
color is totally merged with the form and emanates from within.
There is a
direct psychological and emotional entensity which belies their formal
simplicity.
