Staring back
The exhibition ‘Staring Back’ features more than 200 photographs from Marker’s extensive archives, taken over the course of six decades. He took the photos, including a series of black and white portraits, during his travels around the world. The exhibition, a slightly different version of which was previously on show at Ohio State University’s Wexner Center for the Arts and the Design Museum in Zürich, includes some recent works.
In the offbeat documentary that focuses on man's inhumanity towards man, Si j'avais 4 dromadaires. La Solitude du chanteur de fond, director Chris Marker uses over 800 of his still photographs. It will be screened at MuHKA_media by Marker’s exceptional permission.
In October you will also be able to discover the pioneering work of Chris Marker in the film theatres of MuHKA_media.
