What Is Nothingness?

On the 21 of january 2009 Fan Zguro presents his new artistic project “What Is Nothingness” at the Albanian Council, Thessaloniky (Greece). This project derives from “Paintings 1982-2007”, where the works were classified in two periods, but they're organized to be shown as a unique work. In the first period the paintings dhe frawnings of the artist's childhood have been remodeled by writing on them quotes from the radioplay of Antonin Artaud "Pour en finir avec le jugement de dieu".

Thus in the second period the paintings and drawings of the high school time further were remodeled by adding on them words by the english dictionary. “What Is Nothingness" belongs to the first period of "Paintings 1982-2007", were the sentence cut from the radioplay of Artaud, becomes the the leitmotif the exhibition. For this presentation at the Albanian Council has been realized a site specific project in the context of the reflection "What is nothingness" and the space choosen.
