Group exhibition that brings together residents of ISCP and Brooklyn-based artists
Alisa Baremboym, Balam Bartolome' (ISCP), Rhys Coren (ISCP), Rico Gatson, Rena Leinberger (ISCP), Elissa Levy, Sam Martineau, Bjorn Meyer-Ebrecht, Austin Thomas and Ian Umlauf. The show, curated by Elissa Levy, brings together residents of ISCP and Brooklyn-based artists. The exhibition explores media's effect on the art-making process. Today's technology enables artists to manipulate and edit the imagery that surrounds us, where interpretation and recreation of the future, past or present becomes possible. Contemporary Open Studios presents works by the 36 artists, artist groups and curators currently in residence at ISCP in a four-day exhibition. These events provide an exclusive peek into the production, process and personal archives of celebrated artists with global reputations, many of whom are showing their work in New York for the first time.
