sintesi del comunicato stampa

Joan Pachner: Abstract Expressionist New York, a talk. Museum lecturers, educators, graduate students, and occasionally curators lead talks in the collection and special exhibitions. Audiences learn about the historical context and significance of modern and contemporary artworks through a process of looking and exchanging ideas with a lecturer. In conjunction with the exhibition Abstract Expressionist New York. Lectures are free with Museum admission. Groups are limited to twenty-five. Group stickers are distributed ten minutes prior to each Gallery Talk. 1:30 p.m. in the Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium. Matthew Hale is a British-born collage, sculpture, and installation artist who lives and works in Berlin. Hale presents the North American premiere of Die Munze, a recent three-channel slide projection with soundtrack, found and original photographs, magazine and newspaper cutouts, and a narration by former left-wing terrorist Astrid Poll. The project presents a compellingly oblique melodrama of modern German history. This screening is presented with the help of Hale's Berlin gallery, Wentrup, and is part of the film exhibition Modern Mondays. Theater 2, 7:30 p.m. (Image: Jackson Pollock. Number 1A, 1948.1948.
