Invisible, screenings by the Israeli documentary filmmaker
While covering a Palestinian rights demonstration for Israeli television, Nina meets Lily, an activist, and realizes that she knows Lily from something that happened to both of them a generation ago. Both women are strong and independent, with children of their own, but they both remain haunted. For her first foray into fiction, respected Israeli documentary filmmaker Michal Aviad has created a moving film about friendship and the influence of the past, based on events that actually happened to more than a dozen young women in Tel Aviv in the late 1970s. Organized by Laurence Kardish, Senior Curator, Department of Film.
