Cinematexas
2001 will be held from September 14 to 23, 2001, in Austin, Texas. It
is divided into three sections:
The international competition is open to film and video works produced in the U.S. after
January 1, 2000 and in other countries after January 1, 1999, with a maximum
running time of 60 minutes. All selected foreign language entries must
be subtitled or dubbed in English.
The parallel University of Texas student competition section is open to film
an video work produced at the University of Texas at Austin, Completed
after January 1,2000 with a maximum running time of 60 minutes.
The special
programs are non-competitive sidebars curated by the festival organizers
and guest curators invited to share their scholarship, taste and point
