Eligible entries include all media. All artwork must be original and produced within the last three years and not previously exhibited in a prior Southworks Juried Art Exhibition. The fifth annual Southworks Juried Art Exhibition is a national juried competition open to all artists living in the United States. The exhibit is sponsored by the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) and will be displayed in the main gallery of the historic 1902 OCAF Art Center, located in Watkinsville, GA.
The Juror will be Stephen C. Wicks, Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Knoxville Museum of Art in Knoxville, TN.
The exhibition will open on May 6th with a gala reception and will close on June 18, 2000. More than $10,000 in Merit and Purchase Awards will be made to selected artists.
Artists wishing to apply must submit an application with slides accurately showing artwork. The deadline for receiving applications and slides is: March 15, 2000 for the Juried Art Exhibition.
