2013 Art Theme: Cargo Cult. A week-long annual event held in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada. The event is described as an experiment in community, art, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance. The Burning Man project has grown from a small group of people gathering spontaneously to a community of over 48,000 people.
