A reading by Ruth Buchanan
Ruth Buchanan is a New Zealand artist currently living in Berlin. Using methods and media such as sculpture, photography, text, video, perfomance, sound and graphics, Buchanan constructs both literary and built spaces that investigate the parameters of artistic action. The event is part of the series Rhythms, Voices and Ties: a performance platform evolving over the course of one year. Bringing together visual artists, poets and literary writers, it present performative readings as way of thinking about language (written and spoken), storytelling, errant motion, imaginaries, gender politics, social criticism. The reading will start at 7.30pm.
