On The Other Side Of Reality
On Sunday afternoon 27 September at 2 p.m., the famous fashion designer Marga Weimans herself will tell about the voluminous project On The Other Side Of Reality. Inspired by the Caribbean Carnival, Marga Weimans designed a street parade with all the features: various headdresses for 45 models and dancers, a float, and soundtracks made together with Rutger Zuydervelt. What happens when you, as an art institution and fashion designer, decide to participate in the Rotterdam Summer Carnival? What were the artistic challenges? What sort of problems did Marga encounter during her design process? Come to TENT and walk, together with Marga Weimans, through her monumental fashion installation and enjoy listening to her adventures. 27 September 2015, 2pm.
