Some of Georgia
O'Keeffe's most
innovative creations are
works on paper. The
exhibition will present
approximately fifty of her
most stunning
watercolors, charcoals,
and pastels, drawn from
public institutions, and
rarely seen works from
private collections.
It also commemorates the publication of the Georgia
O'Keeffe catalogue raisonné, a scholarly project of the
National Gallery of Art in collaboration with The Georgia
O'Keeffe Foundation, which will be published in the year
2000.
Organization: The exhibition is organized by the National
Gallery of Art, Washington, and the Georgia O'Keeffe
Museum, Santa Fe.
Curators: Barbara Lynes, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, and
Ruth Fine, curator of modern prints and drawings, National
Gallery of Art.
Publication: A fully illustrated exhibition catalogue will be
co-published by the National Gallery of Art and the Georgia
O'Keeffe Museum.
Sponsor: The exhibition is made possible by The Henry Luce
Foundation, The Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation, and the
National Advisory Council of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.
