Asier Mendizabal

The work of Asier Mendizabal (Ordizia, 1973) reflects the processes by which national identity is constructed, and at the same time it examines the scenography, symbols and linguistic codes from the revolutionary left-wing. With Mendizabal, artistic production symbolizes the dissolution of cultural aspects in political issues and of political issues in popular culture, where the social imaginary blends with political ideology, giving rise to a horizon of aesthetic transformation.
