10 conceptual new media pieces that seek to communicate with the subconscious through a process of questioning and discourse. Through this exhibition, the artist hopes to push the frontier of the viewer's notion of art from the merely decorative elements of visual art to conceptual art. A Solo Exhibition of New Media Works by Conceptual Artist Tai Cheng
The Exhibition
'Mindscapes' presents 10 conceptual new media pieces that seek to communicate with the subconscious through a process of questioning and discourse.
Through this exhibition, the artist hopes to push the frontier of the viewer's notion of art from the merely decorative elements of visual art to conceptual art. The conceptual pieces are an attempt to give tangible form to such human aspects as emotions and thoughts. The artist uses symbols and representations to evoke a subconscious connection with the viewer.
Individually, these personal 'Mindscapes' encourage the viewer to reflect on his or her own response to the feelings that are evoked. Collectively, this exhibition presents a snapshot of the human condition, in all its complexity and simplicity, glory and weakness.
