The summer at Mamco will be Italian with several monographs exploring the
widely diverse movements and periods of the Italian creation from the
Sixties to our days.
Champion of sidecar races, Gianni Piacentino develops
since '969 traveling machines with aerodynamic curves and metallized
varnishes, he is presented here for the first time in a Swiss museum.
Piero
Gilardi explores the world of virtual feelings and with his interactive and
digital installation, he invites the visitor to become aware that he is part
of the evolutive biosphere.
Maurizio Nannucci, already in the collection of
the museum will create a new piece for the exhibition.
Eva Marisaldi, a
young artist from Bologna, will occupy the fourth floor of the museum, with
her installations that seek to reveal what is concealed behind conventions
and what coded language fails to disclose.
Botto e Bruno invade the
corridors of the museum with their young urban art.
Lastly, Isolated (Art)
Project (Milan), an artists collective actively protesting current urban
developments, will make echo with Art, Architecture, Utopia in Tuscany, an
exhibition gathering the files of Architecture radicale, Zona and Schema
movements active during the 60-'s-70-'s (in collaboration with the Centro per
l-'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato).
Opening Tuesday 27 May from 6 pm
