Sculpture and video exhibition. In Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg's topsy-turvy world nothing is as it seems - their claymation films challenge the viewer with unexpected and grotesque results.
Curvy ladies, walruses and monsters square up to one another as this sculpture and video exhibition arrives at Kunsthalle Helsinki. In Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg’s topsy-turvy world nothing is as it seems – their claymation films challenge the viewer with unexpected and grotesque results. There is no escaping the black humour either. A blend of fantasy and nightmare, these installations hold you in their grip.
Nathalie Djurberg, creator of the characters and videos and Hans Berg, the composer, are some of the world’s in-demand contemporary artists. The Swedish pair’s work has been showcased extensively from the Venice Biennale to the New Museum in NYC.
