Telephones is a video work which utilizes an archive of film clips from Hollywood film history, recreating the scenario of the human encounter with the telephone in all its manifestations. Created by Christian Marclay, this work was included in the prestigious Venice Biennale in 1999, an exhibition of international contemporary art.
