Use this kind of Sky at Camden Arts Centre - This ongoing project
co-curated by the artists Paul Eachus and Nooshin Farhid takes the form
of a video screening of the work of eight international artists whose
activities reflect a range of different moving image genres and visual
strategies. These compelling works whilst initially appearing dissimilar
and unconnected, on closed observation have a particular thread of
commonality, they engage with the political through the use of humour.
From Simon Faithfull's use of the documentary form in his film shot in
the Antarctic, to Steve Rienke's appropriation o the scientific
bio-world, with just a hint of Woody Allen to Josef Dabernig's portrayal
of repressed passion and emotional intensity in response to a
competitive football match.
