The exhibition is one of the highlights of Rotterdam 2001. The museum has succeeded in bringing together about three-quarters of the 25-or-so paintings attributed to Bosch. In the exhibition they are displayed together with virtually the complete drawings.
The details of his life have remained as mysterious as the meaning of his paintings.
Nevertheless, Jheronimus Bosch (approx. 1450-1516) with his mysterious tableaux
filled with devils and other fantastic beings enjoys worldwide fame today and has
fired the imagination for centuries.
The large Jheronimus Bosch exhibition displays
works from various European and American collections, including absolute highlights
such as The Ship of Fools from the Louvre and Death of the Miser (National Gallery,
Washington).

Besides an educational and informational section, the special Bosch website also
contains a specially designed Bosch game in which various players can log-on to the
virtual world of Bosh with the aim of reaching Bosch’s heaven or hell.
