Library. Solo show, nearly 300 bushels of wheat

Commissioned as part of the International Artist-In-Residence program at Artpace, San Antonio, a re-examination of Stefano Arienti's Library will be shown. Composed of nearly 300 bushels of wheat the artist encourages visitors to engage the work by sifting through the grain to unearth 100 altered books buried within. The work merges the natural and the intellectual by expressing the connection between organic sustenance and knowledge.
