Poi ci sono io, che guardando il mappamondo un pò di tempo fa, ho deciso di venire a vedere come fosse questa strada che attraversava l’oceano. Ho iniziato così a viaggiare in lungo e in largo tra le isole, conoscendo un sacco di persone e collezionando in modo ossessivo fotografie, oggetti e reperti legati alla vita degli altri personaggi di questa storia: il ricco costruttore (Henry Flagler), il vecchio ponte (The Old Seven Mile Bridge), la piccola isola (Pigeon Key), il Pino Australiano (That random tree) e la Piccola Mangrovia Rossa che ho voluto chiamare My Tree.

Then there is me, looking at a world map some time ago: I decided to come and see how this road that ran through the ocean was. I began to travel far and wide between these islands, meeting many people and obsessively collecting photographs, objects, and evidence tied to the life of the other characters of this story: the wealthy builder (Henry Flagler), the old bridge (The Old Seven Mile Bridge), the small island (Pigeon Key), the Australian Pine (that random tree), and the small red mangrove that I wanted to call My Tree.
